clones January 9, 2005, 5:57 pm

I totally disagree with Pinemeadows explanation of clones vs. Oems
You can't tell me that clones have the same amount of engineering that goes into brands such as Titleist, Cobra, callaway and Taylormade. They don't take into consideration things such as: Wall thickness, Weighting and placement of weight in various locations or Materials used. Clone manufacturers just want to make a product that looks like the good stuff, they don't care whats inside but you should.
There's a reason the OEM's out perform the clones. If the clonne performance was so good there would be a lot more mini tour players that are not sponsored using them, especially on there budget, they would surely be hitting these high performing clones.
Yeah right!!!

Here is the bottom line......
You pay $1000.00 for your new Titleist irons, I'll get the knock-offs for less than half the price, and I'll still post a lower score than you at the end of the day.
It's not all about the manufacturers you sucker, it's about the skill....
P.S. hope to see you on the links one day pal, make sure you bring your wallet!!!

Well Mr. Vanner your definitely have the right to your opinion. The guys that play in my group all hit pro line clubs and thats there choice just like it's your choice. All I meant in my last post was that the Pro line clubs are simply better, more engineering, better metals etc... And as far as you playing me, I like a challenge, funny I've never heard of you If your so good.
