Frank Lickliter added an exclamation point to Titleist's early-season success with his victory at the Chrysler Classic of Tucson, where he relied upon the New Pro V1 golf ball and wielded 13 Titleist golf clubs. Titleist Highlights From Week Ending March 2, 2003

Frank Lickliter topped the leaderboard at the Chrysler Classic of Tucson for his second career win, while eight other Titleist Pro V1 players finished among the top 10 and ties. In fact, the top five finishers all relied upon the Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf balls for their success. With 86 players, nearly 60 percent of the field played Titleist in Tucson.

Relying upon a Scotty Cameron by Titleist Newport Tour putter, Lickliter led the tournament in putting average (1.592) and finished in a second place tie in putts per round (25.50). With two more wins this weekend, including the WGC-Accenture Match Play, Scotty Cameron by Titleist has been the choice of EVERY champion on the PGA Tour this year.

Once again, it was a Titleist Titanium driver and the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball that was played by the driving distance leader at the Chrysler Classic of Tucson. This time, it was an amateur that led the field with a 310.5-yard average.

Rookie  Arron Oberholser posted his second top-10 finish this year with a tie for sixth at Tucson. Oberholser, who relies upon a full bag of Titleist equipment including the Pro V1x golf ball and Titleist Titanium 983K driver, led the tournament in driving accuracy by hitting 47 of 56 fairways (83.9%). Oberholser has made the cut in all six starts this season.

At the WGC-Accenture Match Play, David Toms played the New Pro V1 throughout his gutsy run to the finals. Meanwhile, Adam Scott showed that he has game when he advanced to the semifinals before losing 1-down on the 19 th hole to the World's top-ranked player. Scott won the third place match. Scott plays the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball and a full bag of Titleist equipment that includes a Titleist Titanium driver, PT fairway metal, Titleist Forged irons, Vokey Design Sand and Lob wedges and a Scotty Cameron by Titleist putter.

Titleist putters could not lose on Sunday at the WGC-Accenture Match Play, as both finalists negotiated the greens of LaCosta with Scotty Cameron models. The champion chooses a Studio Stainless model, while the runner-up relies upon a new Studio Design offering.

Titleist Pro V1 player Mike Weir earned “King of Swing” honors and the $500,000 bonus that accompanies the title. Weir posted four top 10 finishes, including two victories on the West Coast, en route to accumulating the most points and the title.

Similar to the season-opening PGA Tour and Champions Tour events, the first event of the Nationwide Tour campaign was captured by a Titleist Pro V1 loyalist. Joe Ogilvie, who plays the Pro V1x, earned a one-stroke win at the Jacob's Creek Open, a co-sanctioned event with the Australasian Tour. Ogilvie topped a list of eight Titleist Pro V1 players who finished among the top 10.

Two more victories this week increase Titleist's year-to-date victory total to 23, more than three times the nearest competitor with 7.
