Titleist
Introduces Revolutionary PackEdge Custom Packaging

PackEdge by Titleist Makes Custom
Packaging Possible for All Golf Clubs and Corporations

Fairhaven, MA (April 18, 2003) – Titleist®, manufacturer of the #1 ball in golf and the leader in the corporate custom golf ball category, introduces PackEdge™ by Titleist, a new revolutionary custom golf ball packaging technology. PackEdge by Titleist utilizes a state-of-the-art, digital printing process and an extensive family of design templates to significantly reduce custom packaging order requirements and shorten lead-times, while making custom packaging more economical. The plateless, digital print technology of PackEdge by Titleist has eliminated the need for expensive set-up charges which translates into a cost savings of up to 42 percent per dozen.

Custom S45 Staff Bag“Custom golf ball packaging has long presented an opportunity for Country Clubs and Corporations to set their brand apart by delivering a distinctive product to their customers,” said Brian Lucas, Director of Special Markets, Titleist. “PackEdge by Titleist finally makes it possible for all Country Clubs and Corporations to experience the additional recognition and impact that only can be attained through custom golf ball packaging.”

PackEdge by Titleist makes ordering custom packaging easy by utilizing a series of eight pre-designed templates that are available in a wide range of layouts and color schemes. A customer can choose a design from one of the 48 available options, and Titleist's experienced graphic artists will insert a supplied logo and photograph. Custom packaging orders printed with PackEdge will ship within three weeks of artwork approval, cutting lead times from traditional custom packaging methods in half. In addition, Titleist has reduced the minimum order requirement for orders with custom packaging.

“With traditional custom packaging, the substantial minimum order requirement left many customers out of the custom packaging game,” said Lucas. “With the introduction of PackEdge, we reduced the custom packaging minimums for Titleist and Pinnacle golf balls by nearly 80 percent to only 96 dozen. This makes it possible for Country Clubs or Corporations with limited player outings and events to take advantage of the unique benefits of custom golf ball packaging.”

In addition to the traditional dozen configurations, Custom Sleeve and Tournament Half-Dozen options also are available. If customers would like to create a completely custom design, they can participate in the PackEdge Non-Template option, which allows them to take total control of the design. A 240 dozen minimum order commitment is required for the Non-Template option.
