The long and short of it: Two golf swings are all you need

How many golf swings should we have in our bag?

The answer, from a pure teaching and mechanical standpoint, might surprise you.

It's just two. How do we come to this position? By keeping it as simple as we can.

The two swings are:

• The full swing, where we go from the bottom) to the top of our comfortable range and back to the bottom -- where we make impact. Solid , magical results.

• The less-than-full swing, where we do not get to our comfortable top of the swing. This is an abbreviated swing, used often.

That's two swings with 14 or more golf clubs, including your putter, which makes less than a full swing.
